Dallas is a sorrel Quarter horse (almost probably registered but no papers given to me when I bought him) gelding and 13 years old. He is a dead broke horse and was owned a few years ago by a gentleman that was largely wheelchair bound. He used to be hoisted up on Dallas and then they would meander off on trail rides. I used him as a trail horse only but 6 weeks ago, he went to a trainers' barn for an intensive 2 week refresher course as he hadn't been ridden in a while, and did really good. The trainer schooled him, trail rode him and also tried him around her barrels as she is a barrel racer too. She is absolutely certain he has done barrels previously as he knows the pattern and has an old scar from the type of bridle they wear. She said he was a brilliant trail horse and "did nothing wrong for her."
my friend came and rode him bareback around our property (I have photos!) and was so good so I know he can be ridden like that too. He is barefoot and was trimmed by my farrier yesterday. I have never had any health issues with him at all fortunately.Due To Personal reasons I Can No Longer Keep Dallas Or His Pasture Friend This Is Why I Need To Find Them A Very Good Loving Home. Dixie seems to me to be a nice compact little horse. I was told she was 15.1 but she isn't! More like 14.1 14.2 she has current coggins n shots feet just done . As for Dixie she has done very well for my farrier. Her old owner brought her and she came out of the trailer fine and was not sweated up or anything.
